The pharyngeal (ARCH) cartilage is translucent, somewhat elastic tissue that composes the pharyngeal arch skeleton, the regional skeletal system of the jaws, hyoid and branchial arches. In older ages, the pharyngeal cartilage is replaced by bone during ossification.
